In this unit, students will identify the main idea in certain paragraphs and a whole text.

Students will use context clues to determine the meanings of words and multiple meaning words in informational text.  Students will identify the main idea in certain paragraphs and a whole text.  Students will answer questions about informational text.  Students will describe the connection between a series of events in an informational text. (historical events, scientific concepts or steps in a process) (cause/effect, sequence).
