How are the Elements of Art used in artwork? To make a new artwork? How are they used individually and as a group?

Elements of Art
The Elements of Art are the foundation that art stands upon, acting like Legos piecing together each stroke of a painting, line in a drawing and color on a palette. Students will take a daily approach to learning the Elements of Art, focuses on one element each class period with a simple project that corresponds most with that element. They will pull each of the Elements of Art together in one large project and end with a unit exam.
Line Exercise - Draw your friend using only lines (1 Day)
Shape Exercise - Draw a scene from your life two ways, one using only Geometric shapes, the other using only Organic shapes. (1 Day)
Form Exercise - Draw 20 shapes using one point perspective, shade them using variable light sources. (1 Day)
Texture Boxes - Discover the difference between Visual and Tactile texture. (1 Day)
Space - Draw an object two ways, using Positive and Negative space. (1 Day)
Color - Monochromatic Self Portrait (5-8 Days)
